Pattern Tour: Polka Dot Nina Skirt
I am excited to be part of this Pattern tour and to share this skirt with you today. Marte from Compagnie M. creates adorable girls patterns (I love the Mara blouse pattern) and she has recently branched out to include women's patterns and they sure are cute.
Nina skirt/culottes and after she sent me the pattern, I knew immediately which version I was going to sew. Marte loves to give options and this pattern comes with so many variations to choose from. First you can choose either an a-line skirt or culottes. Then you can add your options: front zipper, invisible zipper, different pockets, back welt pocket, etc. Seriously. So many fun and different options!
A quick note about the pattern pieces, they are layered so you will need to trace the pattern pieces so be sure to have some swedish tracing paper (or something similar) on hand!
How cute is this skirt? It has so many of my favorite things and I am so happy with how it turned out.
I don't normally wear my shirt tucked in but it is necessary for this skirt in order to show off the great details. I love this skirt and it is so comfortable that I have been wearing it all day. Oh, and this tank is my first version of the Basic tank by Cali Faye. I made it with a black double gauze from the Imagine Gnats shop.
polka dot dress, I had her hop in the picture so we could take a few twirling pictures! She just loves how much her dress twirls.
I love seeing all the unique styles that these amazing bloggers have created. Make sure to check them out and get inspired to sew one of your own. Thank you so much Marte for letting me participate in this tour and for creating a wonderful pattern!
